How we work
Four steps, agreed before we start.
The same process for websites and automations. You know the scope and the price before any work begins.
Process
Talk, plan, build, hand off.
- 01
Talk
We start with a call about your business. For a website, we talk about your customers and what the site needs to do. For automation, we talk through the process that takes too long, who does it, and which tools are involved.
- 02
Plan
We write down the scope in plain language: what we will build, what we will not, and what we need from you. You get a fixed quote and an agreed timeline. Work starts only when you say yes.
- 03
Build
We design, build and test. You see the work as it takes shape and tell us what to change. For automations, we test with real cases and run the new process next to the old one before switching over.
- 04
Hand off and support
You get the documentation, the training, and access to everything we built. Website clients send change requests through the client portal. We stay available when something needs to change.
FAQ
Plain answers.
How long does a project take?
Timelines depend on scope. We agree them before work starts, and we tell you early if anything changes.
How do you price?
We give you a fixed quote after the first call. The quote covers the scope we wrote down together. If you want to add something later, we quote it separately before doing the work.
Who owns the website and the automations?
You do. What we build for you belongs to you, and we document it so you, your team, or anyone you choose can understand and maintain it.
Which tools do you work with?
We start with the tools you already use, such as email, forms, calendars, your CRM, accounting software and spreadsheets. We suggest a new tool only when it clearly saves more than it costs.
What if something breaks?
Tell us. Website clients can send a request through the client portal. For automations, email support@plainspoken.design. We find the cause, explain it in plain words, and fix it.
Do I need to be technical?
No. We explain each decision in plain language and ask only for what you know best: your business, your customers and how your work gets done.
How do I start?
For a website, send a short brief from the contact page. For automation work, email support@plainspoken.design with a short description of the process you want to automate.
